The ilCartastorie Foundation has been created as a subordinate organisation to the Banco di Napoli Foundation. Its constitution allows the organization to operate according to the statutes regarding the art and cultural activities sector.

In particular, the ilCartastorie Foundation will pursue its own objectives of safekeeping, conservation, management, maintenance, promotion and development of the Banco di Napoli Historical Archives.

Its main mission lies in the management of the museum of the same name with all of the associated cultural activities (exhibitions, didactic and workshop activities, expositions, meetings, etc.). It is the best possible way to provide a cultural outlet to local residents and to support tourist demand, as a social and promotional hub for economic development which has always been a focus of the Banco di Napoli Foundation.
